Most suction-based retrievers on the market use mass-produced PVC or generic rubber. These materials often harden in cold water or lose their "tackiness" when wet.
We decided to do things differently. We hand-cast our suction cups using Smooth-On silicone—a world-class material trusted by Hollywood special effects studios and medical professionals. This silicone remains flexible and incredibly sticky in all weather conditions. Whether you are fishing a disc out of a frozen pond or a muddy creek, the KrakenClaw Pro maintains its grip.
Engineering for Longevity: Protecting Your Pole
A high-quality telescopic retriever pole is an investment. Basic physics tells us that adding a heavy weight to the end of a 15-foot pole creates massive leverage, which is the #1 cause of poles snapping.
The KrakenClaw Pro features a frame made from industrial-grade TPU (95A Shore). It is virtually indestructible and weather-resistant, yet it weighs significantly less than "suction ball" competitors. By reducing the weight at the tip, we help extend the life of your telescopic pole without sacrificing durability.
Smart Geometry: The Mechanical Lock
While the suction cups handle smooth surfaces, our redesigned hook geometry takes care of the rest. We specifically optimized the hook to engage with the wide rims of distance drivers. When the hook catches the rim, it creates a mechanical lock, allowing you to lift the disc securely even at awkward angles or through thick weeds.

Maintenance & Safety Guide
To keep your KrakenClaw Pro performing at its best:
- Check the Fit: The cups are held in place by a precision friction fit. Before your round, ensure they are pressed firmly into the frame.
- Use Your Hands: If a cup becomes loose, simply push it back in with your thumb.
- WARNING: Do not use sharp objects (like toothpicks, needles, or screwdrivers) to assist with installation. Silicone is sensitive to punctures; even a microscopic hole will break the vacuum seal and ruin the suction.
